Much like the three little pigs, I've learned (after some regretful first attempts) that the best material to build a story out of is bricks. I bring this masonry-style approach to all of my storytelling efforts, from documentary filmmaking and podcast production to writing ad copy and newsletters.​

 

I like telling deep, nuanced, and thoughtful stories and I also like to entertain people in a very un-serious way. Sometimes I get to do both of these things at the same time. I have a special interest in documenting people who find ways to live outside of or build alternatives to societal systems that don't serve them well.

 

As a copywriter, I've written video scripts for brands like New Balance, Michaels, Geiger Institute, and WebEx. I earned my master's in multimedia journalism from The University of Oregon and my bachelor's in fine arts from Massachusetts College of Art & Design.
